LE Went makes a splash into the boat market…

LE Went can now supply a range of polishes to restore faded paintwork and gelcoats to a high gloss finish with the minimum of effort. Many boat yards and boat owners use an automotive compound to do this, but LE Went have teamed up with leading manufacturer Farecla UK, to promote their range of ‘Profile’ compounds and polishes designed specifically for boats.

Two new Area Sales Managers for LE Went

Two well-known and incredibly experienced Area Sales Managers have been appointed by South-East paint and equipment distributor LE Went Ltd.


Dave Charker joins with over 30 years experience at 3M and Tom Rehill after some 20 years with Brown Brothers.


“Retaining high levels of service whilst adapting to the demands of the industry has been a significant challenge, but one that LE Went Ltd has risen to”, says sales director Brian Heritage. “Although 2009 has certainly been one of the trade’s toughest years, by continually striving to be the best we are winning through. This year alone we have joined the highly regarded UPD organisation, have established ourselves as PAS125 compliant, launched a new website and now the icing on the cake is to have Dave and Tom on board”.


Formed in 1963, LE Went currently has branches in New Malden and Croydon, and maintains twice-daily deliveries of leading brands of paint and consumables to car refinish, commercial vehicle, general industrial and wood finishing customers throughout the South East.

PAS 125

LE Went is fully equipped to deal with the requirements of PAS 125. Our sales and branch staff have been trained to understand the role played by distribution. PAS 125 details minimum requirements for competent personnel, appropriate and well-maintained equipment, suitable repair methods and quality for repair materials. As a UPD member we also have access to the bodyshop consultancy services (including PAS125) offered by our partner company Venture Concepts..
